Upon request, I teach jewelry workshops ranging from 3-hour sessions to multi-week courses. These hands-on lessons are for beginners who have never made anything to the experienced artist/jeweler who wants to brush up on techniques or learn new ones to add to their technical vocabulary.
I recently gave a 3-hour workshop to Lois, a women on a mission to learn diverse craft techniques. Lois had limited time in Florence as she was on a 6-week sabbatical, going around Europe taking artisan workshops. She studied shoe-making in London, perfume-making in Paris, mosaics in Venice, cooking in Ravello, jewelry in Florence, and more!
In a 3-hour workshop, Lois was introduced to beginning piercing and sawing, ring forming, soldering, and finishing. A very hands-on and a quick learner, she walked away with a smile and a very nice sterling silver convex ring. Read more about her experience.
