R: Reliquary of St. Alexius (1690-1691) repousse’ and chased silver; chased and cast gold; gilded copper; semi-precious stones (amethyst); ebony. Massimiliano Soldini Benzi’s masterpiece depicts scene of the death of the ascetic beggar St Alexius.
